Do you want to take your photography
out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary?
News Flash
Margo and Arnie have some of their photographs hung in
a gallery at Cup A Joe on West King Street in Hillsborough,
NC. Stop by if you're in the area!
.
Do you want to learn how to make stunning photographs? Do you
want to do it in a small photo workshop where you can spread out
and find your own subject, not stand shoulder to shoulder with
a lot of other photographers?
Then join Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures and have a great
time while learning to seek and refine your own creative vision,
whether in a regularly-scheduled photo
workshop or in a private workshop of
your choosing.
While we (Margo and Arnie) don't
tell you exactly what to photograph, we take you to great locations
and pride ourselves on giving you the tools — understanding
the magic of light, elements of composition, knowledge of color,
and processing techniques — that
will help inspire you to create more compelling photographs, regardless
of your experience level.
We can also help those who are interested develop a logical,
efficient workflow that will make the storage and processing of
your images easier.
With workshops limited to 12 participants sharing two instructors (maximum 6:1
ratio), you can be assured of lots of individual attention, help, and critiques.
In fact, we are working with you
the entire time in both the field and classroom. In addition, because of our
small group size, we have gained access to some private areas that cannot handle
larger groups.
Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures has been around since
the early 80s, and with our
track record as well-seasoned, working pros with decades of teaching
experience, you will learn a lot! While we may sometimes photograph
with you, our first commitment is always to give you, the participant,
the most rewarding photographic and learning experience possible.
We are proud to report that some
of our students have won
awards and
been accepted into juried shows! We have been
featured on the websites of Crain's
Chicago Business (search for Snapping Safaris, Oct. 5,
2009), Travel
+ Leisure, and Topsail
Island (a popular east-coast destination), the October
2008 and July 2009 print issues of Outdoor Photographer
as well as their online article on photo
workshops where they mistakenly listed us as The
Barefoot Contessa instead of Barefoot Contessa Photo
Adventures! We have also been quoted in Shutterbug and
PDN.
BCPA workshops include the following:
Some of our 2009 Arches, Canyonlands
& Moab gang
seeking their own vision.
