Join our photography workshop in the Burgundy wine-making area. Bourgogne,
as it is called in France, is arguably the heart and soul of France's wine
country. Vineyards form a patchwork pattern across the hillsides and valleys.
Charolais cattle, wheat fields, and Medieval stone villages all add to the
visual appeal of this beautiful part of the world.
We'll show you wonderful
places where you'll make great photographs and taste great local wines. And we haven't
even mentioned that this is home to some of the greatest wines of the world.
You will photograph in all of these locations, favorites of your instructors.
You'll be able to celebrate your passion for photography, hone your seeing
and imaging skills, and learn about the magic of light to make wonderful photographs.
We'll be based in the Beaune area of Bourgogne, right in the heart of it all. Just down the lane is a wonderful little restaurant
run by a charming couple who cook the most delicious meals imaginable. We will
also sample other cuisine in the area, depending upon our day's location. And
for those who love wine, we always find time to do some tastings. The Barefoot Contessa has gained access to some pretty special "caves" that primarily cater not to the general public, rather to private collectors and restaurateurs! You will not be disappointed!.
Margo's love of languages has helped, and she
has spoken fluent French since she was in grade school. This means that you don't even have to worry about speaking the language, although a "Bonjour" or "Merci" is always appreciated!
We start out with some technical information before heading out for our first afternoon of photography. Our workshops include the following:
