There are times when our clients prefer the extra attention that is afforded by a private photo workshop, or they may want to go to a location that is not on our current calendar.

While these are usually, by necessity, more expensive than our regularly-scheduled workshops, they are tailored to the specific needs and wants of the individual(s).

For example, at the request of some of our alumni, we put together a photo workshop in Charleston, SC. Everyone had a great time and made some wonderful images.

Each day is structured with work in the field both mornings and afternoons/evenings, with imaging mid-day when the light is harsh.

Assignments are given out as appropriate to help the participant(s) gain valuable tools to go to the next step. Attention is given to elements of composition, personal vision, help with technical aspects of the camera, possible approaches to subjects, Lightroom, Photomatix (HDR), and stitching (panoramas), if needed.

We have a minimum of two days for these private photo workshops, as one day is simply not long enough to accomplish anything meaningful. We can design them for any size group, and the cost per person is dependent upon the number of people sharing. Obviously, the more sharing, the lower the price per person. Scouting & Photographing with Instructors

Another option, open only to workshop participants, is to join the instructors in their car one or two days early for photography and final scouting. This comes with some one-on-one instruction in the field.

These scouting options are limited to two people per day. Contact us for availability.

Fee: $500/person/day.

Private Lightroom & Workflow Workshops

For those of you who want to learn Lightroom and/or a digital workflow that works for you, we give private workshops to help you get the most out of your post-processing time. These can be done as full or half days and can be tacked on to a regularly-scheduled workshop or possibly arranged for another time. Again, please contact us for more information.

Fee: $800/day or $500/half day. Contact us for pricing if several people want to share a Lightroom session.
