Releases

Please carefully read these releases carefully, as you will accept them on the application as being read and understood:

As a participant, I hereby certify:

  1. That the application has been completed without misrepresentations;
  2. That I am in good health and able to actively participate in a workshop of this nature and that I am completely aware of any associated risks created by field locations and weather.
  3. That I pledge to follow the instructors' directions both overall and daily, in matters of:  the safety of the group that overrides personal wants; dangers and signs of dehydration, hypothermia, altitude sickness, and exhaustion; importance of hydration and nutritious snacks; Leave No Trace; respect for the environment, biological soil, and other sensitive and fragile elements of areas in which we photograph; need for sunscreen and bug dope; danger of overhangs, footing, and other local concerns; common-sense safety; respect for others; and strict adherence to the laws and policies of the places in which we are guests.
  4. That I have read and accept the payment schedule; and
  5. That I acknowledge the right of Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures to change arrangements should conditions necessitate or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances; meeting times, meeting places, and itinerary are subject to changes dictated by the weather, road conditions and other imponderable variables that are part of doing location photography.
  6. That because of inconsistent cell service in many of our locations, the instructors do not carry cell phones; I am responsible for being at the meeting place at the designated time and have my photographic equipment with me.
  7. That there is always an element of risk in any adventure associated with the outdoors.
  8. That I release Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures, its parent company, Zann and Pinkerton/ZAP Photography, LLC, their principals, instructors, guides, and any cooperating agent(s) from any liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss of personal property or expense(s), delay, mishap, or damage to persons or property arising from any cause during the course of the workshop or in transit to, from, and during the workshop.
  9. Finally, I acknowledge that Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures and its parent company, Zann and Pinkerton/ZAP Photography, LLC, have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime and that workshop policies are subject to change at any time.

For our guests, we are delighted that you will be joining us, too.  As with any outdoor endeavor (or indoor one, for that matter), there is always an element of risk.  Because you will be traveling with us, we ask that you sign this release, a shortened version of the one your spouse/SO/friend signed.  Thank you.

As a participant's guest, I hereby certify:
  1. That I am in good health and able to actively participate in excursions in a workshop of this nature and that I am completely aware of any associated risks created by field locations and weather;

  3. That I will remain aware and respectful of the participants who are photographing in this workshop and try to stay out of their camera’s line of vision;
  4. That out of respect for paying participants, my main reason for attending the workshop is not to make photographs (people shots are always welcome);
  5. That I acknowledge the right of Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures to change arrangements should conditions necessitate or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances; meeting times, meeting places, and itinerary are subject to changes dictated by the weather, road conditions and other imponderable variables that are part of doing location photography;
  6. That because of inconsistent cell service in many of our locations, the instructors do not carry cell phones; I am responsible for being at the meeting place at the designated time whenever I wish to join the group (which we hope will be often);
  7. That there is always an element of risk in any adventure associated with the outdoors;
  8. That I release Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures, its parent company, Zann and Pinkerton/ZAP Photography, LLC, their principals, instructors, guides, and any cooperating agent(s) from any liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss of personal property or expense(s), delay, mishap, or damage to persons or property arising from any cause during the course of the workshop or in transit to, from, and during the workshop; and
  9. Finally, I acknowledge that Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures and its parent company, Zann and Pinkerton/ZAP Photography, LLC, have the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime and that workshop policies are subject to change at any time.

I am 18 years or older and have carefully read, understand, and accept all of the above.
