We are headed for the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye in early June to spend most of our time in the western part of this magnificent land.
Everyone will need to come in the day before to rest up at our hotel in Edinburgh. This will be your chance to do a bit of exploring on your own in this historic city.
After our opening class session, we'll head to the Inverness area in two, roomy vans. Traveling this way keeps us together and makes it easier to park in some of our locations where there is little room on narrow lanes.
The next day, we'll drive to the very photogenic Isle of Skye where we will be based for the next four nights. This island is famous for its charming fishing villages, historic castles, warm pubs, and rugged mountains.
We will take a different route back to Edinburgh, stopping for a night on the shores of Loch Ness. Who knows, you might see Nessie!
Finally we'll return to our hotel in Edinburgh for final critiques and farewells.
All along our routes, we will be stopping for photo ops — lake views, castles, possibly flocks of sheep, historic sites.
This is a trip that you may want to share with your spouse or significant
other. They are always welcome at our workshops and instantly become part
of our group. For them, there are additional activities such as walks, browsing in village shops, or joining us at our locations.
Because we will be headquartered in smaller, country inns, it is important to sign up for this workshop early. Once rooms go, there may be few alternatives nearby!
For those who want to do two, back-to-back workshops (Provence & Her Charms or Paris, City of Light), as some of our participants are doing, we give an additional 5% discount. The caveat, because of high PayPal fees, is that the payments need to be made by check.
