Do you want to take your photography out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary? Join Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures and have a great time while honing your photographic, imaging, and printing skills. We pride ourselves on giving you the tools, both in the field and in the classroom, that will help you create better photographs, whether you are a seasoned photographer or relatively new to photography.

We are proud to report that some of our students have won awards and been accepted into juried shows! We are also excited to have been featured on the websites of Travel + Leisure and Topsail Island, a popular east-coast destination.

Our workshops include the following:
  • Maximum 6-to-1 ratio students to instructors;
  • Welcome reception;
  • Instructional booklet on photography to help you improve your photography;
  • Early-morning and late-afternoon shoots;
  • Mid-day processing and tweaking your images with Photoshop and Lightroom;
  • Epson printing element with a booklet of step-by-step instructions;
  • Lots of individual instruction in both the field and classroom;
  • Critiques, both individual and group;
  • Discussions on various aspects of photography, including digital workflow;
  • Final group critique and show; and
  • Lots of fun and frivolity througout!

In our print element, we'll show you the ins and outs of successfully turning your favorite digital images into stunning prints. In fact, in all our domestic workshops, you'll take home a lovely, large, archival Epson print of one of your workshop photographs.

Remember, our tag line reads, "Create great photos; make great prints!"

If you have not already done so, check our FAQs for questions you may have as well as equipment and installed downloads you need to bring to the workshop including, if necessary, the free, 30-day, trial versions of the Adobe products.

Margo, Arnie, and John
will show you how to strengthen and expand your photographic vision using the wonderful magic of light to enhance your images. As well-seasoned pros, they really enjoy sharing their expertise of how to create great images and process them through a logical work flow. They make learning fun in visually-rich locations here and abroad while they guide you toward becoming a better photographer.

Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures has been around since the early 80s, and with our instructors' 75+ years combined experience teaching, you will learn a lot! While we may sometimes photograph with you, our first commitment is always to give our participants the most rewarding photographic and learning experience possible.

If our FAQs do not answer all your questions, please contact Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures. As we noted above, our instructors have many decades of experience as both active pro shooters and teachers, and we do love to have fun with our students!
