Quotable Quotes from "Spousal Units"

Here are some comments received over the years from our "Spousal Units," an affectionate term we have for the spouses, SOs, and guests who have joined our participants. For more quotes from alumni, click here.

As time permits, we will be adding more quotes.
I would like to thank you both again for making a "tag-along" feel so welcome and included. Right from the first few moments in the livingroom, I felt a part of the group. I think I have told you both that photograpy has to date not been one of my favourite art mediums ... but after a week of watching, listening and learning, I have a much greater appreciation for all that MAKES (not TAKES) a good photo, and I could see myself exploring this medium in the future.

However, for the moment I am simply going to bask in the glow of the beautiful scenery, the scent of the sea air, the taste of seafood, and the memory of the wonderful conversations I was able to have this past week with some very bright, interesting, lovely people.

I feel that I have made good friends in a few short days, and I look forward to being able to stay in touch

I apologize for taking so long to write this email to both of you. I want to thank you as a 'spousal unit' for being able to travel with and enjoy the group in New Orleans. I enjoyed time with everyone in the group and especially enjoyed meeting both of you. Based on the energy and enthusiasm of the group, I’d say you have a very nice gig going with traveling to interesting places to teach and learn. I probably learned a couple of things myself, just based on the osmosis of being there.

I want to thank you for having me come along and experience some beautiful country and join the alumni workshop. The trip was special, too, for me and my Dad who haven't had time like that together. I did get a great feel for the fun and friendliness you and your participants bring to your adventures.

Thanks again for your composition pointers [Kenny was working on a video] and welcoming me on your Death Valley workshop.

This is just a note to thank you for the warm welcome you gave me and the other spouses and friends of the participants in your workshop. As you know, this is the third time I've accompanied Alice on one of your workshops and, for me, each experience has been better than the last.

You made me feel like part of the group even when you were busy with those "officially" taking pictures on photo shoots. We non-participants were kept apprised of times, destinations and plans for meals, allowing us to maximize our enjoyment of the beautiful area.

Thanks again for helping to make my time at your workshop so enjoyable.

Thank you for the wine [Chuck and Sally were our EMT experts for the workshop] and the excellent company these past few days. We really enjoy your classes and the people who go with them.

See you in a couple of months.

Such a fun time in Paris & on the barge! Loved the travel companions, weather, barge crew, activities. After a day of doing laundry, shopping for groceries, sorting mail, I will miss our fellow bargers.

Clearly it is a well traveled group, so a challenge for you to find different opportunities. We can’t thank you enough for all that you do in the line of duty, extra, and 911 calls. You two are saints.

So I thank you for a wonderful adventure with wonderful people!
